5C. Wheels and Tyres
5C1. Tyre and wheel combinations:-
965 x 380 (38" x 15")
(These measurements are horizontal measurements with tyre pressure at 24psi). 80% tread depth is required at start of event. Wheel and tyre combinations can protrude past the vehicle body but such protrusions must be covered by flare material.
5C2. Agricultural tyres and wheel chains of any type are prohibited.
5C3. Mud flaps to be fitted to rear.
5C4. Tyre inflation compressor or High Pressure Storage System and air lines suitable to inflate tyres.
Note : Competitors must use the original tyres they have started on. After
approval from Event Director or his Senior Representative, tyres can be
replaced if irreparable damage has been done.
