12. Protest
12.1. Protests by a competitor must be and handed to the Event Director or Competition Manager within 2 hours of receiving the scores for the particular SS. All protests must be submitted with RM500.00 (Ringgit Malaysia) which shall be forfeited if the protest is dismissed.
12.2. The competition Sub-committee will be headed by the Competition Manager or Course Master or Chief Scout under direction of the Event Director. Members of the Event Committee including a representative from MAM shall be required to judge on any formal protest and must have a 2/3rd majority for the protest to be upheld. However, in the interest of the overall good of the event, the final say rests with the Event Director after hearing all the views.
12.3. A selected representative from the event competitors will be allowed to sit in on the protest proceedings if desired.
